Self Monitoring

Security for homes and businesses has until now been a limited choice of either ‘bells only’ or contracted, third party monitoring.

  1. 'Bells Only’ security requires neighbours to hear the alarm and do something about it. But most alarms are now ignored and not responded to by the police unless there is some visual indication of a crime taking place.
  2. 'Contract Monitored' security requires a telephone link betwen your alarm system and a central Alarm Response Centre (ARC) who monitor your alarm and call you then attend the premises if there is an alert. Usually means signing up to a 3-5 year, expensive, long term contract and paying monitoring and maintenance charges each month plus additional call-out charges for the inevitable false alarms. That’s on top of the initial alarm system and installation costs.

Vislarm by utilising the latest mobile network and internet technology provides a much more flexible and cost effective alternative - Self-Monitoring.
Now,
you and nominated contacts can be notified of an alarm condition immediately. Then based on the information provided by the Visilarm device, you can decide on how you wish to respond, whether to ignore it, investigate yourself, or ask a neighbour, family or friend to check it out for you.

Alarm Monitoring Options

Self-monitored security is ideal when you cannot expect or rely on a swift police response and gives you instead, the flexibility to have neighbours, family or friends respond to your alarm.
